PIP (Personal Injury Protection)

Florida’s no-fault laws require drivers to maintain $10,000 in Personal Injury Protection insurance coverage to pay for their own medical care regardless of who is responsible for the accident. However, these laws are very specific as to when care should be received, what types of treatment is covered, and what can be compensated after a loss.

Personal Injury Protection will cover policyholders and household family members who are involved in an auto accident, as well as persons operating the insured’s/owner’s vehicle, and passengers in the owner’s vehicle.
