Slip and falls or trip and falls can occur on the premises of a private dwelling or public establishment. These incidents can occur in many ways, such as spilled substances or other items that are left unattended in areas where patrons are likely to be present, among other dangerous conditions. For example, a slip and fall may happen in a private home, grocery store, on a sidewalk or on building stairways that are in disrepair.

Customers or invitees are expected to be kept safe and protected from dangerous conditions while on another’s property.
